China is the birthplace of hemp, and the Chinese have been cultivating hemp on China’s soil for 8000 years. China-hemp is precious and scarce, and represents a functional and environmentally friendly resource for making textile fiber. Its unique properties include its moisture absorption, air permeability, and resistance to mildew, bacteria, and radiation. Chinese hemp absorbs three times more moisture than cotton and can eradicate bacteria attached to its fabric products within one hour. Chinese hemp fabric works as an excellent shield of heat and light. It is able to block 95% of ultraviolet rays and its color remains stable under temperatures as high as 370 degrees Celsius.

Our Chinese Hemp Technology Center is an important part of Youngor’s state-approved Enterprise Technology Center, which is accredited by the National Development and Reform Commission, the Ministry of Science and Technology, the Ministry of finance, and other ministries.

The China-Hemp Technology Center works alongside the Military Equipment Institute of the General Logistics Department of the People’s Liberation Army and Yak Technology Company conduct cooperative research on, and production of, China-hemp products. The center and its collaborators have successfully designed garments made of Chinese hemp, which is widely regarded as “the most ideal fiber yet discovered” and “human skin’s second layer.”

We have used China-hemp fiber to develop hemp socks, shirts, suits, trousers, and underwear, all of which will be on display at China’s International Clothing & Accessories Fair in 2009. These products will also be shown in several large-scale “China-Hemp Life Hall” displays in cities such as Beijing, Shanghai, Hangzhou, and Ningbo.
